Motorsport producer EMPA is combining Net Insight's Nimbra Edge contribution platform with Globecast's Content Exchange and delivery services. The design lets it choose professional IP, satellite, fibre and digital distribution according to each event's audience, geography and resilience needs.

At the 2026 24h Nürburgring, EMPA handled approximately 45 hours of live coverage and around 100 individual streams. As many as four feeds were contributed simultaneously to Globecast using SRT before onward delivery to broadcast and digital recipients.

EMPA works across roughly 100 events each year, making a uniform transport model inefficient. An orchestrated mix can reserve higher-cost managed paths where required while using internet contribution where it meets the risk and quality profile.

The report does not disclose SRT latency, bitrates, packet-loss conditions, failover timing, monitoring thresholds or event-by-event cost. The Nürburgring scale demonstrates operation, but not how the architecture behaves during a path failure.
