EITB has selected AEQ CONEXIA for intercom at its Bilbao headquarters after a public tender and system testing. The installation centres on an XCORE matrix, 128 TP9116 user panels and XPLORER MAX wireless beltpacks for radio, television and digital teams.
XCORE is configured with dual power supplies, redundant N+a DSP and multiple controllers. Its internal TDM bus can scale to 1,024 by 1,024 ports, while the platform handles AoIP natively and supports SDI, fibre, analogue and digital audio interfaces.
The TP9116 panels provide 16 crosspoint keys across four pages, individual listening level, 24-bit 48kHz audio and Dante connectivity compatible with AES67. Wireless XPLORER MAX coverage can use multiple networked antennas for mobile technical and production staff.
The deployment serves a newsroom larger than 3,000 square metres, but the announcement does not state the number of beltpacks, antenna layout, network topology, failover tests or migration date. Those details will determine how the stated redundancy performs across real productions.
