Eddie AI has released a broad postproduction update covering visual search, creative effects, audio description, sound cleanup and DaVinci Resolve integration. Its new search analyses picture at one frame per second together with audio, returning source, in and out points, a description and confidence for matching moments.
Prompted tools now include whip, flash and glitch cuts, simulated handheld motion, grain, haze, split tone, blend modes, style packs and picture-based multicamera sync. The update also creates standard or extended audio-described versions, including material with no dialogue or source transcript.
The company explicitly separates rendered results from NLE handoffs. Effects can be baked into an Eddie MP4, while Premiere, Final Cut and Resolve exports retain the editable cut and leave a note where the destination application must recreate an effect. Free DaVinci Resolve 21.1 and later is now supported for project and timeline transfer.
These are vendor-reported capabilities, not an independent accuracy test. Search precision, model failure modes, processing cost and the quality of generated descriptions still need evaluation against representative production material.
