DMC Production has commissioned two identical AR1 and AR2 vehicles built by Broadcast Solutions around Grass Valley's AMPP platform. The vehicles place switching, replay, signal processing, multiviewing, recording and audio processing at the venue in a cloud-native software environment.
Production staff can control those resources remotely, allowing the company to separate operators from the event while retaining local media processing. DMC says a 100 Mbps internet connection can support a substantial multicamera production because control and selected feeds travel remotely rather than every uncompressed production signal.
Audio control uses a Calrec Argo M console in Munich with True Control 2.0. The shared platform is intended to create versions for conventional broadcast, OTT, social services and multiple languages without rebuilding the production chain for each output.
The case study establishes the broad topology but does not publish camera scale, encoded return paths, measured control latency, outage behaviour or the network assumptions behind the 100 Mbps claim. Independent resilience testing would be needed before applying the same design to another venue or sport.
