Disney plans to stream Super Bowl LXI live on Disney+ in more than 55 international markets on 14 February 2027. In the United States, ESPN and ABC will carry the traditional broadcast, with a Spanish-language presentation on ESPN Deportes.

ESPN's linear networks will also distribute the game in more than 130 territories. Disney describes this as the first Super Bowl to appear live on Disney+, placing the service alongside established broadcast outlets for one of the industry's largest simultaneous audiences.

The technical significance lies in coordinating multiple market feeds, languages, rights restrictions and platform behaviours from a shared event. Traffic management, stream start reliability, ad handling, captioning and monitoring all become part of the same launch, even when individual services use different distribution chains.

The announcement confirms reach and platform roles but does not publish the video formats, latency targets, redundancy design, advertising workflow or concurrency assumptions. Those operational parameters will be important when assessing how the streaming service performs beside the linear coverage.
