Director Mode is an upcoming iOS application designed to monitor and control multiple supported Canon Cinema EOS, Canon EOS R and Sony Alpha or FX cameras. Mixed-brand groups are part of the stated design rather than requiring every camera to come from one family.

The interface is intended to expose live view, individual or grouped record control, ISO, shutter, iris, white balance, focus operations and camera telemetry. Monitoring tools include waveform, custom cube LUT previews, peaking, frame guides, anamorphic de-squeeze and model-dependent audio meters.

Connections can use a shared Wi-Fi network, wired LAN with suitable adapters, or direct USB-C on selected Sony cameras. That range could make the app useful both for a small studio rack and a nearby single-camera configuration without adding a dedicated remote panel.

The product has not yet reached the App Store and is recruiting TestFlight users. Compatibility differs by model, pricing is unannounced, and no independent latency, camera-count, reconnect or reliability tests are available, so the workflow remains developing.
