DELTACAST has introduced two hybrid PCIe I/O boards combining 25Gb Ethernet interfaces for SMPTE ST 2110 with 12G-SDI connections. The cards are designed for simultaneous capture and playback across IP and baseband paths inside one host system.
The announced models are DELTA-IP25-44-SDI-4c-e and DELTA-IP25-44-SDI-4c-elp. Bringing both transport families onto one card can reduce the number of slots and separate devices needed in replay, graphics, ingest or gateway applications.
Hybrid I/O remains relevant because many facilities add ST 2110 islands while cameras, routers and monitoring positions continue to use SDI. A shared SDK and hardware boundary can let an application route, process or compare both domains without an external conversion stage for every channel.
The report does not specify exact stream counts at each raster, NMOS support, PTP redundancy, packet-recovery features, PCIe bandwidth requirements or measured latency. Software compatibility and the usable combination of IP and SDI channels need confirmation for each deployment.
