d&b audiotechnik has introduced vCore, a free standalone application that runs Soundscape processing on macOS and Windows. The software accepts up to 64 inputs and produces a two-channel binaural output for headphones, streaming, webinars and other stereo destinations.
vCore works with Create.Control version 1.4 and can receive material directly from a digital audio workstation. Users can build, prepare and audition spatial scenes without a physical Soundscape engine or installed loudspeaker system, making the workflow more accessible during planning and remote collaboration.
The release is particularly relevant where a production needs a portable confidence version of an immersive mix. It can also help separate creative preparation from venue time, although binaural monitoring cannot by itself prove how a design will translate to a specific loudspeaker array or room.
The announcement does not detail supported sample rates, plug-in and transport options, computer performance requirements or project interchange with production engines. Teams should verify session compatibility and final-system translation before relying on vCore for delivery decisions.
