GB Labs has introduced Core.ONE, a storage platform intended to present on-premises, cloud and hybrid resources through one management environment. The company says the same architecture can cover a single production team, several sites or a larger enterprise deployment.
Core.ONE manages simultaneous read and write traffic so ingest, editing and backup can run together. It connects to existing editing tools and media-asset-management systems and underpins GB Labs hardware families including FastNAS, UltraNAS, EchoNAS and NebulaNAS.
The platform also includes Kora, a conversational assistant that answers questions using live system state. Example queries include identifying a clip codec, checking RAID health and confirming whether replication completed. That makes infrastructure telemetry accessible without navigating several storage interfaces, but it also places an AI layer close to operational data.
The launch material does not specify protocol coverage, performance numbers, high-availability topology, Kora’s model location, access controls or whether the assistant can take actions as well as answer questions. Pricing and migration details for existing customers are also absent. Independent tests will be needed to separate the unified-management promise from the performance limits of the underlying tiers.
