Cobalt Digital will demonstrate an end-to-end ST 2110 and IPMX ecosystem at NAB Show New York. The product range spans converters, gateways, encoders, decoders, processing platforms, audio monitors and multiviewers intended for mixed SDI and IP facilities.

The IPMX implementation adds JPEG XS Temporal Differential Coding so compatible devices can discover, establish and transport visually lossless, low-latency streams. Cobalt says the capability is available across SAPPHIRE, INDIGO, PACIFIC, TOPAZ, ARIA and UltraBlue product families.

PACIFIC compression products will also demonstrate hybrid satellite and Internet delivery compliant with VSR TR-06-4 Part 7. Satellite carries the bulk service while an Internet path recovers lost packets. The 1RU blueCORE platform adds conversion, HDR, frame sync, audio, SCTE-104 and logo functions across SDI and ST 2110/IPMX.

The published specifications establish feature scope, but the event has not yet provided independent interoperability, latency or recovery measurements. Facilities should verify mixed-vendor discovery, packet repair under representative loss and exact channel capacity before planning a migration around the demonstration.
