CineFi Wireless has detailed Fox Box, a production-focused transceiver that carries a complete IP transport layer over the 900 MHz band. It can bridge Ethernet and DMX while passing Art-Net, sACN and other IP protocols without converting the traffic into a proprietary DMX representation.
Units can operate as host, client or relay nodes and support standards-based multicast and IGMP. Bidirectional traffic lets client devices originate data, while wired-path fallback, redundant transmitters and stored credentials address failure and replacement scenarios on set.
Integrated Wi-Fi serves tablets and laptops, and USB can present a direct network interface or accept expansion devices. On-unit and browser diagnostics expose radio performance, per-interface traffic, connected nodes and system utilisation rather than only signal strength. The internal battery is rated for up to 12 hours.
Release is planned for late 2026, with mesh operation and smaller Foxtail endpoints still in development. Price, certified range, regulatory variants, aggregate bandwidth and latency under dense multicast loads have not been published.
