Captivate has launched the CP-PVOT-C1622, a dual-lens camera for classrooms and conference spaces. An 8-megapixel PTZ camera provides 3x optical zoom, while a separate 2-megapixel panoramic camera covers a 120-degree field of view.
Four microphone arrays support Auto Framing, Speaker Tracking, Presenter Tracking and an Individuals Gallery mode. The device can output 4K30 video over USB-C and provide HDMI 1.4b and NDI feeds simultaneously. Web and Telnet control are included, and PoE+ can supply power through the network connection.
Separating the overview and close-up functions can make automated framing less disorienting than relying on one high-resolution sensor and aggressive digital crops. Simultaneous baseband, USB and IP outputs also allow the same room system to feed conferencing, recording and local display paths.
The product is reported as available now. The announcement does not publish NDI flavour and latency, microphone pickup range, tracking response, HDMI resolution combinations, privacy controls or interoperability tests with major conferencing platforms. AI performance claims have not been independently evaluated.
