Postproduction company Caffeine used DaVinci Resolve Studio and Blackmagic Cloud on the Mexican independent feature Aquí Hay Dragones. The company operates across Mexico City, Los Angeles and New York, with editorial, colour, VFX, motion graphics, sound design and finishing participating in the same project.
Blackmagic Cloud provided the collaboration layer, while the production used a dedicated point-to-point network for high-speed media transfer. That combination kept project state and creative work connected across cities instead of relying solely on isolated exports and manually reconciled versions.
For distributed finishing, the operational value is not just remote access. Editors, colourists and VFX teams need consistent media identity, timeline state and handoff rules so a correction in one department does not silently invalidate another department’s work.
The account comes from the production team and does not disclose network capacity, cloud-project architecture, security controls or recovery tests. It demonstrates a working film pipeline, but broadcasters should still qualify permissions, cache behaviour and failure recovery for their own distributed environments.
