Bantaray Mobile Sports Production has standardized its niche-sports workflow around AJA FiDO fibre Mini-Converters, additional SDI and HDMI conversion, and Ki Pro recorders. The company covers school sport, hockey and other events where venue layouts are often unknown until the crew arrives.

A portable commentator-booth kit combines I/O and audio gear with single-, dual- and four-channel FiDO units. Four camera signals can travel over one four-pair tactical fibre cable, and 1,000-foot reels can be joined when the production truck cannot park close to the action. Dante commonly carries audio.

For a small crew, the significance is repeatability: long copper limits, power placement and last-minute truck positions become less likely to force a redesign. Bantaray says its 24 FiDO units have supported dozens of broadcasts and more than 100 remote baseball productions without a failure.

The case study does not publish optical budgets, fibre redundancy, camera formats, end-to-end latency, timing architecture or recovery procedures. The reliability claim comes from the supplier and customer rather than an independent test.
