ARRI’s Omnibar family packages full-spectrum LED light into two-foot and four-foot linear fixtures intended for location, studio and in-camera use. Each unit has an internal battery, IP65 environmental protection, integrated magnets, several mounting options and interchangeable magnetic optics.
Pixel zones can be controlled independently, so the fixture can produce animated effects or appear in the shot as well as provide conventional illumination. Wired DMX, wireless CRMX, Bluetooth and ARRI’s app provide control paths. An Omnibase hub carries power and data when several bars are daisy-chained into a larger arrangement.
The operational value is versatility: a lighting department can use one compact family for close practicals, hidden location fill and larger pixel-driven structures. Weather protection and battery power also reduce cabling for short exterior setups, while the base supports more deliberate multi-unit rigs.
The source confirms form factors and control options but does not publish output, spectral measurements, battery runtime at full power, maximum chain length, thermal derating or measured colour consistency between units. Those figures are essential before comparing Omnibar with established studio fixtures.
