Apple TV will carry the 2026 Formula 1 United States Grand Prix in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for US subscribers using compatible equipment. The event runs from 23 to 25 October and marks the start of the enhanced presentation announced for Apple's Formula 1 service.

The plan applies across race weekends, including practice, qualifying, sprint sessions where scheduled, and the main race. Sessions will be available live and on demand, giving the platform a recurring premium-format sports workload rather than a single demonstration.

For production and distribution teams, the combination raises practical questions around HDR consistency, metadata, immersive-audio monitoring and device capability reporting. The audience experience depends on the complete chain, from host production and contribution through encoding, application playback, display settings and speaker configuration.

The announcement confirms the consumer formats and launch event but does not describe camera acquisition, production colour management, audio bed-and-object design, stream profiles or fallback behaviour. Those details remain necessary before the service can be evaluated as an end-to-end technical reference.
