AOTO has brought a new MicroLED Intelligent Manufacturing Center into production in Huizhou, China. The facility is dedicated to Micro and Mini LED products from P0.3 to P1.5 and supports both chip-on-board and chip-on-glass packaging.
AOTO states that chip placement reaches plus or minus five micrometres, more than 95% of production is automated and yield exceeds 99.99%. The production environment uses Class 1,000 cleanroom conditions, controlled temperature and humidity, and electrostatic-discharge protection.
Fine-pitch panels used in broadcast sets and virtual production reveal small variations in alignment, colour and module consistency under camera scrutiny. Tighter process control may therefore matter as much as nominal pixel pitch when panels are assembled into a large wall.
The figures are manufacturer claims and no independent audit, capacity number, uniformity measurement or cost impact is published. The announcement covers production capability rather than a new display model with measured on-camera performance.
