Asian News International has deployed Grass Valley AMPP and Framelight X across a news operation serving more than 100 bureaus and over 1,000 customer organisations. Four on-premises processing nodes connect to cloud orchestration while keeping live ingest close to the facility signals.
The installation provides 32 concurrent scheduled ingest resources: 28 SDI channels and four SRT channels. Each node handles seven SDI feeds and one SRT feed. Elastic Recorder X and Scheduler allocate resources, while Elastic Flow Monitor reports source presence, signal health, recording state and storage use.
Framelight X adds asset management, clip playback, graphics and workflow automation in the same environment. The design is important for a rolling news agency because material can become searchable and available to editorial and distribution teams while the intake infrastructure remains centrally supervised.
Grass Valley does not disclose storage capacity, proxy delay, disaster recovery, identity architecture, WAN requirements, integration with ANI’s newsroom systems or measured improvement in turnaround time.
