Asian News International has deployed Grass Valley AMPP and Framelight X for a high-volume news operation that receives both conventional baseband and IP contribution feeds. Four processing nodes remain on premises while AMPP provides cloud-based orchestration.

The design exposes 32 scheduled ingest resources: 28 SDI inputs and four SRT channels. Elastic Recorder X and Scheduler handle recording, while Elastic Flow Monitor gives operators a common view of the active paths. Framelight X adds browser-based search, proxy viewing, metadata work, clip playback, validation and graphics access.

Completed media can move automatically into ANI’s central library, where Adobe and EDIUS editors, archive systems and playout workflows can use it. The significant point is not simply the number of inputs, but the separation of orchestration from local processing. That model can preserve existing facility connectivity while making capacity and control available through software.

The published account confirms the main components and input count. It does not disclose codec profiles, storage throughput, failover behaviour, cloud dependency during an outage, cybersecurity controls or measured turnaround improvements. Grass Valley is a principal source for the implementation, so operating gains have not been independently benchmarked.
