Alpha Networks and Ateme delivered a live video platform for a major international sporting event. The service carried ten HD channels with adaptive bitrate HLS and DASH to a web companion application and a dedicated Android TV application.

Ateme supplied transcoding, packaging, storage and origin functions. Alpha Networks provided the Gecko OTT platform, cloud infrastructure and application layer, including secure authentication and QR-code device pairing.

The project target was less than eight seconds of glass-to-glass latency, and the companies report achieving five seconds. They attribute that result to optimization across processing, CDN delivery, platform, application and player rather than an isolated low-latency encoder setting.

The event is not named, and the report does not publish audience scale, concurrency, availability, DRM, CDN topology, bitrate ladders or measurement method. The five-second figure is a vendor-reported project result rather than an independent benchmark.
