Adobe has introduced interactive editing controls inside its plugin for ChatGPT. A user can ask for a targeted image change, select the relevant region with a brush and then refine the result through direct hue, saturation and other adjustment controls.

The same plugin can open a PDF, revise text or highlight passages and return that document context to the conversation. Adobe says edits remain in context as the operator moves between the assistant and interactive tools. Its previously separate creative and productivity capabilities now appear through one plugin identity.

For media teams, the important design change is the handoff between natural-language intent and precise operator control. A producer can use an assistant to start an edit but still make deterministic adjustments where a prompt would be slow or ambiguous. That model is more suitable for reviewable production work than a black-box generation step.

Adobe does not publish media-resolution limits, colour-management behaviour, enterprise governance, audit export, supported PDF complexity or whether the controls extend to professional video timelines.
