Adder has expanded API access across its IP KVM portfolio, including ADDERView Matrix, ADDERLink Infinity endpoints and managers, XDIP and ARDx products. The interfaces are intended for third-party control, monitoring and automation.
In a broadcast facility, KVM routing often changes alongside multiviewers, intercom roles, production switchers and application permissions. An API can let a control layer recall those workstation connections as part of a larger room or programme configuration. Monitoring integrations can also expose device status before an operator reports a failed path.
Opening the control surface is useful only if authentication and authorisation remain precise. A KVM system carries keyboard, mouse and display access to critical production and business computers, so automation credentials, audit logs and network segmentation need the same care as the media system itself.
The announcement confirms API availability across the named product families. It does not publish one common schema, versioning policy, rate limits, event model, authentication methods or example integrations. Facilities should confirm which functions are read-only, which can change routing, and how rollback works after an automation error.
